About the band: John Lowell, a 2024 recipient of the Montana Governor's Award, has been performing more than 40 years with his bands: Kane's River, Growling Old Men, and the John Lowell Band. He teaches guitar and songwriting, and has performed in the US, Canada and Europe. Joanne Lowell has shared the stage with Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris, Tracy Nelson, Vince Gill, Marcia Ball and others.
